About CT

Creative Themes Preschool Campers
We believe:

The natural setting of the outdoors can produce a stimulating learning environment.
Games should stress cooperation and responsibility – not competitiveness.

Children need to experience the sounds and beauty of their natural environment.

Learning should be as trouble-free as possible for the child in order to encourage creativity.

Creative Themes Day Camp,
celebrating its 35th year, provides quality day care that is enriched with creative, challenging, and fun learning experiences in a beautiful outdoor setting. Our activities and facilities provide the fun, our trained staff provides the motivation, and our program philosophy encourages individual growth and creativity. Our most important goal is to understand your child’s individual needs and to provide a camp program that meets those needs in a creative and safe environment.

Our Goal
Creative Themes strives to provide an atmosphere conducive to the creative expression of self; to create an atmosphere in which campers become aware of, and learn, a healthy respect for their environment. Our program offers a broad range of activities and themes. The children and staff, together with their imagination and creativity, add variety to our program making it limitless.

The Directors

Creative Themes is a family owned and operated Day Camp. Robert Remis and daughter, Denise Bellavia, have run the daily camp operations for 35 years. Bob has three grandchildren that attend camp everyday and plan on carrying on the family tradition (pictured below). Robert and Denise provide on-site, hands-on guidance, involvement, and innovation each day.

As a consultant in the areas of Teambuilding, Problem Solving and Creative Thinking training, Robert adds a unique style to the camp’s philosophy and operation. Bob is also the camp’s lead Adventure Program designer, instructor and facilitator. Additionally, his skills and experience in magic, juggling, comedy, fishing, canoeing and outdoor adventure make him an excellent role model for the staff and campers. Providing a safe and creative environment for every camper is Bob’s number one goal.

As the Co-Director, Denise has been a camper, LIT, CIT and Counselor. She now serves in the capacity of Camp Director, Admissions Coordinator and Health Director. As an instructor in First Aid and CPR, she stays current on the camp’s health requirements. Her years of camp experience help her create great camp memories for campers and staff alike!
