CIT Program (15-year-olds)
The Counselor In Training (CIT) Program
(15 year olds) — Developing Future Leaders!
This program prepares young adults for future work with children such as a career in education. Throughout the session, CITs will work on leadership, safety and skill development. The CIT works closely with an experienced counselor, under the direction of the Camp Director.
For 2018 all CIT candidates should mail a letter of interest to the camp Directors along with filling out the CIT questionnaire. After we have reviewed your letter and questionnaire we will forward you information so that you can continue the registration process. The deadline will be January 30th for your information.
The requirements for the program will be:
- Attend an orientation meeting in June. This will be held on a weekend or in the evening and is mandatory to be start the program.
- Choose one 4 week CIT program to participate in during the summer.
- CIT 1- June 25 to July 20
- CIT 2-July 23 to Aug 17
Program Cost: $400 (4 Weeks)
Online registration is required and deposit ($100) (No registration fee)
Please do not fill out the online application until you receive your letter of acceptance from the directors.
What happens the year after CIT program?
At the age of 16, they are eligible for a position as a junior counselor (this is an eight week summer commitment). All applicants should write a letter to the directors expressing interest. Applicants will be screened from these letters.
