2020 Programs

MINI DAY CAMP SESSIONS

This program will be designed for campers going into grades K-7th in the fall of 2020. Campers will need to be able to come into camp unassisted by a parent as no parents or visitors will be allowed onto the camp property during our camp programs. Our days will be filled with camp activities done with updated safety guidelines, smaller groups, and enhanced cleaning protocols. This camp program will run from 9 am to 12 pm, camp activities will be spread out throughout the week, and campers will stay within their teams and will not mix with other teams (at this time). Our sessions will have theme activities these will be developed as we are redevelopment our weekly plans with our staff. Answers to questions about the 2020 camp programs.

Note: Program updates could occur due to any new changes from either the Local or State Health Department (including but not limited to: changes in activities, groups sizing, program cancellation).

MINI’S SESSIONS

This program is designed for campers entering PK4/K in the fall (all campers need to be 4 by September 1st and toilet trained). These sessions will be offered 3 times, the session is a Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am to 11:30 pm, this will allow for our staff to screen campers in the parking lot and bring them into camp as a group without mixing with other campers which will not require them to wear a mask. All campers should be comfortable with drop off and not require a parent to walk them in (this will not be allowed).

This program will allow campers to reconnect with campers their age, work on social skills, and play. There will be a theme for their day that will connect a story, craft, and activities that will take place using our camp setting. Great way to tiptoe these campers back into activities.

Note: Program updates could occur due to any new changes from either the Local or State Health Department (including but not limited to: changes in activities, groups sizing, program cancellation).

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

Creative Themes staff is at the parking lot from 8:40 AM to 9:00 AM for camper’s to be dropped off and screened daily. Parents will be asked to remain in their vehicles during this time.  Staff will then make sure campers enter the camp and are checked in with their team for the day. (If dropping off after 9:00 you will need to call the camp office when you are in the parking lot and a camp staff person will come out to screen your camper and bring them to their team.)

From 12:00 PM to 12:20 PM our dismissal for the end of the day begins. The CT staff then proceeds to follow our very safe loading and releasing of vehicles. This has been a very safe and efficient system for years. We ask that you follow directions, stay in your cars, and trust our great staff. All parents should remain in their vehicles at this time.

During these times we will ask that all campers wear a mask. This will be when campers will most likely mix with our teams and we will the safest measures would be to have everyone wear a mask.

HEALTH DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

Creative Themes Day Camp obtains a yearly permit to operate from the New York State Department of Health. We are inspected three times during our summer operations and reports are filed with the Monroe County Department of Health.

HEALTH HISTORY & FORMS

New York State Department of Health requires each camp to keep a current copy of every camper’s immunization history on file in order to attend. Campsite keeps immunization forms on file for as long as you have an account. Upload all immunization forms once, then you only have to upload immunization forms when they have been updated. A complete copy of your child’s immunization history should be submitted to the Creative Themes by May 1, 2020 (July 10th). Campers without an immunization history on file will not be permitted to attend.

CAMPERS’ BEHAVIOR

Campers are expected to respect and listen to the camp staff.

No taking of other campers’ stuff.

No fighting or bad language will be tolerated.

No destroying camp property.
