Creative Themes staff is at the parking lot from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM to greet children. Staff will make sure the children safely get to their designated areas.
At noon, staff will bring half-day children to the parking lot area, where we will dismiss them, then again at 3:00 pm for full-day children. The CT staff follow our very safe loading and releasing of vehicles. This has been a very safe and efficient system for years. We ask that you follow directions, stay in your cars, and trust our great staff.
This program at Creative Themes will run for three weeks in June and is designed for campers entering PK (4) and K in the fall of 2025. If a child would like to attend with another child, they must be enrolled in the same option.
All children need to be four years old by September 1, 2025.
Our June program staff consists of college students and professionals who have dedicated their education and careers to working with children. They are fun and energetic. Our PK (4) and K program staff ratio is 1:6 overall.
All campers will have an opportunity to try our camp activities: fishing, Archery, Canoeing, and Art and Creativity (Theater Area). Each activity will be scheduled multiple times during the week(weather permitting). All activities are highly supervised by our qualified staff.
Swimming pool and water slide activities will be scheduled if the weather permits. We have found that, most likely, our full-day campers will have more opportunities than half day. Our experience has found that Rochester’s weather does not produce excellent swimming conditions for June. Certified Lifeguards always supervise pools. Every time we use the pool, we stress water safety and having a fun learning experience. Note: Our pools are 2 ½ to 4 ½ feet deep and great for beginner campers to learn and have fun.
Creative Themes has built our Summer Camp around Experiential Learning, also known as Outdoor Adventure Education. We have designed activities and elements that are age-appropriate for the PK and K age groups. Our staff is trained to help campers experience safe and fun outdoor play and learning.
Note: A CT camp t-shirt is given to each camper. (Note: one t-shirt per registered camper.)
Snacks—All campers are scheduled for a snack time in the morning. Campers should pack a non-refrigerated snack of their choice.
Full-day campers- will have a lunchtime daily. Campers must bring their lunch Mondays through Thursdays, and on Fridays, campers will have a pizza party lunch. (full-day campers only)
Cool drinking water is always available every day.
Children with allergies- CT is fully committed to handling all dietary restrictions and food allergies efficiently and professionally. Individual attention is the hallmark of how we operate this vital safety issue. Your child’s Lead Counselor will take care of all food allergy matters for your child. He/she will communicate with parents about individual needs. Our office also has a staff member responsible for handling food allergy questions.
Creative Themes maintains “Peanut-Free” tables! We are always happy to talk with parents about their children’s needs.
CT has staff trained in First Aid and the use of epi-pens.
