DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

Creative Themes staff is at the parking lot from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM for a camper to be dropped off, staff will ensure the campers safely get to their group.

From 2:55 PM to 3:25 PM, our dismissal for the end of the day begins. The CT staff then proceeds to follow our very safe loading and releasing of vehicles. This has been a very safe and efficient system for years. We ask that you follow directions, stay in your cars, and trust our great staff.

TEAMS/GROUPS

Campers are organized into teams based on the school grade they will enter in the upcoming fall. Typically, there is one team per grade, allowing campers in the same grade to stay together. However, multiple teams will be formed if a grade exceeds the group limit. Friend requests will be accommodated whenever possible, provided they align with the following criteria: campers are in the same grade, within one age group, and space is available.

The Friend Request Form must be submitted by June 15th for friend requests involving campers in different grades, allowing adequate time for summer planning.

Each group maintains a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio, with an overall camp ratio 1:7 to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.

ACTIVITIES

Campers will be able to experience our camp activities during their session at camp. Our qualified staff supervises all activities.

Water fun is scheduled daily. This includes pool time for all ages if the weather permits. Certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors continuously supervise pools. Every time we use the pool, we stress water safety and having a fun learning experience.

Note: Our pool is 2 ½ to 4 ½ feet deep and great for beginner campers to learn and have fun.

See our activity list.

LUNCH

Lunch will be provided for campers and staff on FRIDAY only. Friday camp has a “Pizza Party.” Friday– Pizza is served with chips, pretzels, fruit, and drink.

Parents provide lunch on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We provide water and lemonade daily. All lunches are stored in large coolers until lunchtime.

Campers with allergies– CT is fully committed to handling all dietary restrictions and food allergies efficiently and professionally. Individual attention is the hallmark of how we handle this vital safety issue. Your child’s Lead Counselor will oversee all food allergy matters for your camper. He/she will communicate with parents about individual needs. Our office also has a staff member responsible for handling food allergy questions.
Creative Themes maintains “Peanut Free” tables at camp! We are always happy to talk with parents about the needs of their children.

CT has many staff trained in First Aid and the use of epi-pens.

EXTENDED CARE

Extended Care services will be offered for PM hours, 3:25 to 5:30 PM (Monday through Friday). Campers will need to be signed up before the start of each session. More information about sign-up will be available in our June newsletter.

WET WATER FUN

Our staff is American Red Cross certified and will have creative water activities for all ages of campers to do during their pool time. We also allow plenty of free time for creative water play or just “cooling off.”

CANOEING & KAYAKING

Enjoy taking a canoe ride around our pond. Keep your eyes open for frogs and turtles!

NEW GAMES ACTIVITIES

Our games are designed for everyone to participate. We use foam and plastic for games. When you play hard and enjoy yourself, you’re a winner!

SPORT NUTS

If you can kick it, throw it, toss it, catch it, bounce it, juggle it . . . we’ve got it! Our soccer balls, softballs, kickballs, volleyballs, tether balls, and basketballs are always in motion. Try them all!

CREATIVITY

The techniques are as varied as your moods. Creativity can be improv games, plays or playing music. And our spacious “Bear Theater” is the perfect place to show your stuff.

NATURE STUDY

Ponder the wonders of our ponds! We have rabbits, frogs, all types of fish, bugs, birds, plants, trees, and flowers.

ARTS

When has anyone ever told you to get your hands dirty? We encourage it! Come to stir up the paints and twist a tangle of colorful materials to create something that is uniquely you!

ARCHERY

Start with the basics — safety procedures, equipment knowledge and handling, rules, and fundamentals. You never know who will be the next Robin Hood! (USA Archery instruction followed)

FISHING FANTASY

Fish in our pond for bass, bluegills, carp, and bullheads. Experience the excitement of netting a turtle or frog! Learn the proper techniques of baiting and casting, and practice to your heart’s content using our “catch and release” approach to the sport of fishing. Catch “Big Louie”!
