Creative Themes has a program for 8th and 9th graders; this program is our Teen/LIT Camp. This is a combination of a teen and leader-in-training program. Enrollment for these weeks will have a limited number of participants, and campers are limited to enrolling in only two sessions per summer.
The Teen/LIT Program is designed for teens seeking a camp and team-building experience with their peers. It is a challenging and flexible program based on the interests and choices of the group. This program will use the overall camp to help develop the teen’s schedule of activities. The program will be designed to develop teens’ leadership skills using daily challenges. This one-week program focuses on teamwork fundamentals, including communication, trust, leadership, conflict management, and goal setting.
For the summer of 2025, we will limit teens to a maximum of two Teen/LIT weeks.

This program is designed to be an introduction to a leadership course, where games, initiatives, and challenges are used to develop the group’s leadership skills. Teens will still work with their peers, build relationships with the camp staff, be role models for younger campers, and decide if they want to take leadership to the next level at camp. Camp activities will also be included throughout the day.
The Teen/LIT at Creative Themes provides an exciting opportunity for 8th and 9th graders to take positive risks to grow, explore, and have fun. In keeping with the Creative Themes philosophy, we strive to provide an atmosphere conducive to the creative expression of self, in which campers become aware of and learn respect for their environment and peers. This one-week leadership program is designed to assist youth in developing skills in team building, problem-solving, leadership, and self-confidence. Each leadership group is asked to commit to a “Full Value Contract” to ensure the proper and effective execution of the program.
